Strangle your Pets!

Finally, an update for both readers.
Cosmonauts of Fire will be taking some time off until better recording stuff gets gotten around Christmas. Pushnef has written 21 songs some of which will be demoed live at their upcoming shows. What? "Shows," you say. Indeed. We will be playing up at the old Plainfield United Methodist Church in order to draw in a massive crowd and gain some funds for a youth mission trip in the summer. You may be asking what the weather is in Spanish at that gig, if you know what I mean. In otra news, David needs to get new robotic attatchments for the track season and Sam will soon be killed in a fatal misunderstanding with the locals of South Africa. And Pushnef is currently on the hunt but the tables will soon turn dramatically. All for now, take care!

Yeah, the recording today didn't work out due to tech. difficulties but we played a super-sweet "show" and taped all the amazing chaos but most of it is unlistenable. Today I've upload Whales and butchered it with a wierd zoom effect so here you go:

Recording Begins??

The Cosmonauts are busy working on loads of new material including Awesome Ocillation of the Ocelots and a cover of the Kelly Clarkson song "Since you been Gone" which will be featuring none other than brittany mcduffy on vocals and some of these people dancing. Their practice last Sunday was amazing and they tried to lay down part of Tony Perona and Whales as well as attempting to work Seaside Suicide and Missing Crimes to varying levels of effectiveness. They also grabbed some high quality food at Ole Wendys and have decided to give Wendys the Cosmonauts' stamp of high quality food service, which is a prestigeous award indeed!

Seaside Suicide

The Cosmonauts were hard at work on Sunday writing Seaside Suicide! Pushnef describes it as "A wild, dark track with a soaring chorus, almost sounds like a song from a real band" They effectively have the song down and are planning on finishing at least a song each week in the future. Also we will potentially be playing two gigs so watch out. On the new album front we have changed some names and added songs to possibly appear on it. "Cars on Cement" was changed to "Whales". Pushnef recently wrote "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea", "Obfuscation", and "Diet Cherry Vanilla Doctor Pepsi". Finally, our Myspace hit 500 plays on Sunday.

Writing on Sunday

Ye Ol' Cosmonauts of Fire will be writing some new music on Sunday. The tracks Grinding Corn, Tony Perona, Cars on Cement, Seaside Suicide, Vultures Perched on a Parapet, Radiant the Battle Looks from Here, Lobotomies to the Beat (fomerly Brain Surgery), Plainfield in Ruins, Missing Crimes (formerly Russia Raising Gardens), Shadow Economy, Suiting Hearts, Small Vessels for Thee, Mein Kemp, and Tenemos una Banda are all going to be considered for the album.

What? Did you just say that the Cosmonauts of Fire are buyable now? How did they get on iTunes? Oh, but we aren't on iTunes loyal fans. That would take a lot of work that Pushnef is too lazy to do. Instead, while getting the iTunes stuff worked out, we have decided to put not one, not three, but TWO songs on this wierd little arkade site for your listening pleasure: Vultures on a Parapet(listen to it on our Myspace) and an EXCLUSIVE VERSION of the Cars on Cement that Pushnef made in his parents basement. Surprise Gig You Probably Missed

Two members of the Cosmonauts of Fire (Pushnef and David) performed a surprise gig at the University of Indianapolis at a very intimate venue. They stood on a balcony and belted out an a cappella version of Cars on Cement (Whales). The two members of the band went on to play a heated putt-putt match competing against many other skilled teams and, despite being seeded first, finished completely last at just an average of 23 and 1/2 over par. A+ for effort.
